Visit Atlantic City

A high-traffic destination marketing website for one of the East Coast’s most recognizable resort cities.

Overview

I contributed to the Visit Atlantic City platform as part of the Simpleview team, working within a large-scale CMS environment serving high-traffic tourism content. My focus included structured navigation systems, faceted search interfaces, event integrations, and dynamic content modules built to support both discovery and planning across the site.

Global Navigation

The global header and footer formed the structural backbone of the platform, combining primary navigation with a structured mega menu system. The dropdown expanded beyond link lists to include content modules and call-to-action blocks within a CMS-driven layout. Live weather data and Trip Builder access were integrated alongside the navigation layer, separating static structure from dynamic sources.

Facility Discovery

Meeting and event spaces across the city are organized into a structured search experience designed for planners. Filters for square footage, room capacity, categories, and accommodations allow results to be refined with precision. Listings can be compared in grid view, with quick-view panels surfacing key details without leaving the page. The interface supports both discovery and practical planning.

Upcoming Events

Calendar Highlights

Upcoming convention events are retrieved from a structured event collection and organized chronologically for featured display. The slider surfaces key details including date, title, and venue, offering a preview of citywide programming while linking to the full calendar. The component balances editorial emphasis with structured event data, allowing priority events to be surfaced without disrupting the broader event system.

Built for the Shore

Working on Visit Atlantic City with my first team at the company was a genuinely fun challenge. The site had a lot of moving parts, and getting them all to work together made it one of the more enjoyable projects to be a part of at Simpleview.
